1.Production Processes (Two Routes)

(1)Ultrafine Micronization Method

Uses high-purity raw ore processed through advanced vertical mills or stirred mills to achieve particle sizes down to D50 < 5μm. This maximizes the surface area while maintaining the mineral's high brightness. Ideal for high-gloss coatings and thin-film applications.

(2)Chemical Surface Treatment (Specialized)

The powder is treated with specialized Silane or Titanate coupling agents to create a hydrophobic surface. This significantly improves the bonding between the mineral and resin matrices (like Epoxy or Polyurethane), crucial for automotive and marine coatings.

2.Core Features

(1)Anti-Corrosion & pH Buffering: With a natural alkaline pH (approx. 9.9), wollastonite acts as a passive corrosion inhibitor, neutralizing acidic pollutants and protecting metal substrates from oxidation and rust.

(2)Low Oil Absorption & High Loading: Compared to other silicates, it has a lower oil absorption rate. This allows for higher filler loading in formulations, reducing raw material costs without compromising the coating’s viscosity or flow.

(3)Scrub Resistance & Surface Hardness:The high Mohs hardness (4.5–5.0) provides excellent resistance to abrasion and burnishing, keeping architectural walls looking new even after frequent cleaning.

(4)UV Transparency & Color Stability: Its low refractive index (1.63) allows it to be used in colored systems without dulling the pigments, while its inorganic nature ensures it won't yellow or degrade under UV exposure.

Qualifications: ISO 9001 quality management; fully compliant with REACH/RoHS for international trade. Certified Asbestos-Free is a mandatory requirement for global entry.

Recommendations: For coating clients, emphasize the pH buffering and low oil absorption; for plastic clients, focus on the aspect ratio and surface treatment compatibility. Requesting a "Hegman Gauge" fineness report is recommended for paint-grade samples.
